1. Definitions
- "Organisation"
- means the legal entity or individual that creates a TimeTap account.
- "Owner"
- means the person who registers and administers an Organisation account.
- "Employee"
- means a person authorised by an Owner to use the Service to record attendance.
- "Add-on"
- means an optional paid module (e.g. Surveys, Tasks, Payroll Module) available in addition to the base subscription.
- "Subscription"
- means the recurring billing arrangement for access to the Service.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and must notify us immediately at admin@timetap.co.za if you suspect any unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorised to enter into binding agreements on behalf of your Organisation.
3. Subscription & Billing
Access to TimeTap requires a paid subscription. Billing is per branch (location) per month or per year, as selected. Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Payments are processed by PayStack. We do not store card details on our servers.
Subscriptions renew automatically. You may cancel at any time from your Billing page — access continues until the end of the paid period. No refunds are issued for partial periods.
4. Fair Use
The Service is provided for legitimate business attendance and workforce management. You may not use the Service to:
- Record attendance of individuals who have not consented to being tracked
- Circumvent or manipulate attendance records for fraudulent purposes
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell the Service
- Upload or transmit unlawful, harmful, or defamatory content
5. Data & Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
As an Organisation Owner, you are the Responsible Party for the personal data of your employees processed through the Service. We act as Operator on your behalf.
You are responsible for obtaining lawful consent from employees before collecting their location, biometric, or other personal data using the Service.
6. Account Deletion & Data Retention
You may request deletion of your Organisation account from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all employee records, attendance data, documents, and configurations will be permanently removed.
7. Service Availability
We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible. We are not liable for losses arising from service interruptions beyond our reasonable control.
8. Intellectual Property
All software, design, trademarks, and content associated with TimeTap remain the property of Comtech Internet Services CC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without prior written consent.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, Comtech Internet Services CC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid in the three months preceding the claim.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or in-app notification at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
